NEW PATTERN Dreamy Garden...

Well its such a nice day outside...I kind of wish I had a nice garden to 'dream in'...I at least have a small garden with all those modern type plants and bark...guess it will have to do!!!

As mentioned in my last post we have re-patterned some of our original designs due to popular demand.  I thought it was time to show you another one of our 'new' patterns.

Chicken Fun...

Well the new year has kind of started without me, I think Ill be ready in a week or so!!!  The good thing is the year has started busy, with new shops beginning to stock our patterns, new designs in the making, and way too many ideas floating around my head!!

We had a number of shops approach us last year about making some of our designs available in pattern form.  While many of our newer designs are in pattern form, the majority of the range wasnt.  So Ive been working hard over the christmas break to pattern up some of the designs in the range!!  Our patterns have also undergone a change...and they look fantastic and bright.

Over the next week or two I will be giving you previews of the new patterns, some patterns including more than one of our designs. 

So, let me introduce to you 'Chicken Fun'...a pattern combining our two Chicken designs 'Fresh Eggs' & 'Chook Chook'..both measuring 13x13cm framed.

 

So if you're in the mood for some chicken...chicken thats 'not' edible...come on in and grab a pattern. The pattern does not normally include buttons, but for the next 5 patterns sold, we will throw in the buttons for free....saving you approx $6.00.

Introducing CHRISTMAS SENTIMENTS....

Well its time to introduce 'Christmas Sentiments' Collection.  This pattern includes 6 projects, I will show them over a few posts over the next few days.  I know Christmas is upon us, but there's still time for last minute projects, and these really are simple projects designed to get you into the Christmas Spirit.

Now for a glimpse of the Christmas Sentiments Quilt and Cushion.  The quilt measures approx 39 x 39inch and features a few applique panels finished with swirl embroidery, other panels have 'christmas sentiments' stitched.  The cushion features the same 'christmas sentiments' in a christmas tree format and a funky ric rac border.  Cushion measures 18 x 12in.

In tommorrows post i will show you the Stocking and Table Runner!  Pattern retails for $28.95...(great value when some of the patterns for single projects from Australian Designers retail at up to $18 now).  Pattern is an A4 format with a full color cover with plenty of photos to help you along the way. 

Since Christmas is just around the corner, we are making this pattern available as a PDF E-Pattern for $17.95.

Christmas Patterns....

Thanks to everyone who left a comment on my last Post, we are in for some fun times ahead!!   This week we released 2 Christmas Patterns.  These are projects that have been published in Magazines that are now available as Printed Patterns. 

The Spirit of Christmas
This is a lovely Christmas Quilt, featuring 2 stitchery panels and 3 applique panels.  It is simple to do and quite bright and cheery with a lovely Christmas saying'.  Wooden button packs are available in store.  Full Pattern is available for $19.95.

 

The Star of Christmas Tree Pattern
A simple but very cute Fabric Tree Pattern.  Make it as big as you like and use up all your scrap fat quarters laying around or co-ordinate them.  This is the cleanest tree you'll ever have in your home!!!  And best of all no tinsel (I hate tinsel!!!).  It features rusty bells on the end, and rusty wire at the top.  Pattern also includes instructions to make some 'make do's for Chrissy decs using rusty wire.  Add some rusty star buttons here and there and it will be beautiful!!  Pattern available for $14.00 or Pattern, Rusty stars and Rusty Wire for $21.95 (LIMITED STOCK).

You can never really start preparing for Christmas too early.  Shops have started purchasing Christmas Patterns all ready to go!!!  Dont leave it too long!!!

NEWLY RELEASED....Garden of Dreams Pattern

Wow December, where did November go...Chris-cass (as my daughter puts it) is taking shape nicely.  I have Hi 5 Christmas playing in the background helping me get into the Christmas spirit...this year might be the first year in about 4 years that I might actually be organised and not rushed.

But still plenty of time for fun and games and sewing and stitching of course.  I want to share some pictures of a newly released pattern that I am so in love with.  I almost want to make it all up again.

Garden of Dreams...is a Funky Modern Bright Quilt featuring a massive 26in long stitchery garden panel, a cute set of daisies and some simple but effective squares and strips.  Oh and did I mention thick thick ric rac.  I have used Jelly Roll pieces to keep it simple, neat and tidy.  I must admit that the MODA fabric range used in this quilt has really lifted the design.  I think i might even get away with displaying this quilt in my lounge room.

To match the quilt I have designed a lovely table runner with daisies and a cute cushion to match.  All of this for the normal pattern price of $16.95, great value for money.

 

A big thank you to Leanne Morris for stitching this massive stitchery panel!  Id still be stitcing it if it was in my box of things to do!

I am also very excited to mention that we are today in the process of adding maxi ric rac to our online store.  The colors are divine and I love the size of this stuff.  Photos of this set can be found in the Garden of Dreams Photo Album.

A Handmade Christmas.....

Ok after this post, im going to go do some other work!!  Ive lost count how many posts Ive caught up on today!!  Our Star Christmas Tree that we published in the Inspire Magazine has been so popular, that I have created something slightly different with the design.

Redwork Houses BPOM

The biggest project for the year at Buzzy Bee has been the release of the Redwork Houses Block and Project of the Month Set.  This popular range is based on our very popular Redwork Houses Stitchery Kit but has been enlarged and matching projects designed to compliment this lovely Redwork Quilt.

This series runs over 9 months, with 2 blocks of the 16 Block Quilt completed each month for the first 8, then the quilt finished on the 9th Month. co-ordinating projects are as follows:

Month 1 & 2 - Table Runner
Month 3 - Luggage/Gift Tags
Month 4 - Long Throw Cushion
Month 5 - Clock
Month 6 - Square Cushion
Month 7 - Tote
Month 8 - House Swag

Patterns are professionally printed, and are available as a set, or as individual patterns.  A special Photo Album is featured on this blog.  If you haven't checked out the set, take a few minutes to take a peek.  The projects are simple and can mostly be completed in an afternoon.

Teddy Splendour....

Well its been a few days since I last posted, I have been overwhelmed with emails about 'Inspire' the new online mag, and emails from friendly customers in the US who have found the Buzzy Bee website for the first time!! 

I've also been busy finalising the Redwork Houses BOM and a few other designs.  It's all go go go!!  But I like it that way.

Today I have released another Bear Stitchery Project into the Buzzy Bee Range called 'Teddy Splendour'.  It features 3 bears, in a runner project.  The runner measures approx 40in long with a lovely scallop edging on the end and has been stitched for us by Narelle Higgins.  The Bears have been stitched in a Variegated Brown and they look fabulous!  The Runner could be used on a long table, along the top of a couch, on the end of a bed, or in a little ones room.  Or if you dont want to use them in a runner, they could be made into cushions, a swag, or a wall hanging. 

 

The Kit includes 3 pre-printed calico panels and over 3 pages of full stitching and project instructions.   Pattern available aswell.

Why more Bears you ask me?  Why not?  Well, when I took over the Buzzy Bee Buttons range, there were a number of beautiful designs drawn by the range's previous owner and designer (Natalie Kinlay) that hadnt been released into the range as yet.  It is these designs that we are currently releasing.  There are a few more to go yet, including a bright and cheery Angel range that we are considering publishing in a book.  More info will come as that project unravels.

So off to grab another coffee for me now and into some paperwork and posting of orders!!

Redwork Houses Stitchery BOM

I have some exciting news about our most popular Stitchery Kit, 'Redwork Houses'.  Before I took over the Buzzy Bee Buttons range I had people emailing me about this kit anxious to get their hands on it.  Since owning this range, I have sold so many of these kits, it takes out the Buzzy Bee bestseller award!

A few customers and shop owners have commented over time about how lovely this Design would be as a Block of the Month.   I always struggled with the thought as I dont want to simply be re-hashing old designs.  But, after much thought, and another customer request, I have decided to offer this design as a Block of the Month program!!

For the BOM, we have enlarged the size of the blocks, giving you the option to simply stitch the blocks as was previously done, or add color to the quilt by using easy applique or coloring in techniques.  There will also be a bonus project with each month, giving you more ideas on how to use the 'Redwork Houses' Design.  Some of these bonus projects include luggage tags, house swag, candle mat, 2 cushions, & table runner (over 2 months).  While these bonus projects have been based on the Redwork Houses design, the individual stitchery designs for the bonus projects are new and designed to match the quilt. 

The BOM is being offered as a 9 month program in pattern form only.  Patterns can be purchased one month at a time, or as a full set of patterns.  As time goes on, we will have a listing of what shops are running the BOM.

New Pattern Release...Butterfly Kisses

Well another lovely cool day here in Adelaide.   The weather at this time of year is devine, its the reason I love Adelaide so much.  Today I have released a new pattern for a stitchery cushion called 'Butterfly Kisses'. 

It has been created especially to support the 'Xantha Maree' Foundation.  A little baby who was born with butterfly skin (blistered really easily).  This little baby only lived for 2 months, but the Foundation set up in her name to support her family, now continues to raise funds for the support of other families in need, to raise awareness, and help raise money to fund research and hopefully a cure.  For more information visit www.xanthemaree.com.



The cushion itself features a double frill on the ends, and is quite a simple but elegant design.  It includes some stitchery which is always nice, and could be made up in any array of colors to suit a little baby or girls room even.
